This exactly. The [old] leathermans are amazingly well built tools, but you carry a tool on your belt so you can use it now, with one hand...not after a series of folds.

That thing’s old enough to vote. These OG Leatherman tools are starting to get outside of the 25 year range of Leatherman’s repair warranty. I mine back before it expired and got new blades and junk.

Anyway I switched to a Leatherman WAVE and chucked that old tool into my car’s tool box.

I carry the original one my father-in-law gave me after I proposed to his daughter, orig leather case even. I got one of those first “mini” ones for hiking too. They have saved my butt many times and still use them regularly.
